It is not often that I wake in the middle of the night pondering a deep question.
The question wouldn’t leave me, and the answer came quickly.
What would I tell my 20-year-old self?
To pursue the Lord above all else.
Above relationships, jobs, hobbies, and money.
Above prestige, power, position, and security.
Above ALL THE STUFF that moth and rust destroy.
Make time with Jesus your number one priority. It is the one necessary thing.
(Luke 10:42)
“Let your roots grow down into him and let your lives be built on him.” Colossians 2:7
Jesus will never fail you. He will never leave you. Never stop loving you.
His plans are far better than your plans.
“Seek the Kingdom of God above all else, and live righteously, and he will give you everything you need.” Matthew 6:33
Where do you start? Grab your Bible. Dig into God’s word. He will speak to you through the pages of scripture. He will guide you along the right path.
All the other stuff...will come and go, can crumble and fall, is not guaranteed.
Jesus came so that you will have abundant life. Don’t miss it.
