trust
If I asked you what you ponder most, what keeps you up at night, what would you say? Your marriage, kids, job, health, finances, education? Scriptures tells me that there is a better way than worry. It is trust.
“Commit your way to the Lord [roll and repose each care of your load on Him]; trust (lean on, rely on, and be confident) also in Him and He will bring it to pass.”
Psalm 37:5 AMPC
Repose here means to lay something to rest on. To unload your cares on God. Committing everything to God in prayer.
Trust means just what this verse says: to lean on, rely on and be confident in God because “He is before all things, and in him all things hold together.” Colossians 1:17 NIV
“Trust him and he will help you.” Psalm 37:5
Trust brings help.
“But blessed is the one who trusts in the Lord, whose confidence is in him.”
Jeremiah 17:7 NIV
Trust brings blessing.
“You will keep in perfect peace those whose minds are steadfast, because they trust in you.” Isaiah 26:3 NIV
Trust brings peace.
Therefore, “I will trust, and will not be afraid; for the Lord God is my strength and my song, and he has become my salvation.””
Isaiah 12:2
Keep unloading that worry bus at the feet of Jesus. And begin to trust and rest in Him instead.
