no nots
I saw an Instagram quote yesterday that said something like this…
“think on all that you ARE rather than all you are NOT.”
To whomever posted this, thank you. I need a change in perspective sometimes.
What if I said NO to the NOTS?
Rather than thinking, I am NOT __________. What if I replaced it with I AM ________________. Then, start filling in the blank. I am a child of God. I am redeemed. I am healthy. I am kind. I am strong. I am loved.
Rather than I do NOT have _________. What about I HAVE ____________! Start filling those in. Maybe it is a job, education, or health? What about my important relationships? What about material things like money to pay bills, car, home, clothes? Maybe it small things like my propane heater and hand warmers on cold game nights! 😂 Seriously!
And what about this?
Instead of God has NOT ____________.
What about God HAS_______________. Maybe I could answer God has provided, loved, restored, refreshed, healed, comforted, answered, and saved me! Hallelujah!
Thoughts are powerful! Scripture says “For as he thinks within himself, so he is.” Proverbs 23:7
When I say NO to the NOTS and begin to embrace all that I am and have and been given, I cultivate a grateful heart and a positive spirit. And, then I can honestly lift my voice in thanks to God. For He is good!
