I have always been drawn to soothing, comforting nature of water. Whether it is a babbling brook or the ocean deep. Maybe it is a reminder of the Spirit within me.

Jesus said himself that “He who believes in Me [who cleaves to and trusts in and relies on Me] as the Scripture has said, From his innermost being shall flow [continuously] springs and rivers of living water.”
John 7:38 AMPC

This living water is referring to the Holy Spirit that would come to all those who believe, who trust in, and cling to Jesus for their salvation. From the Matthew Henry commentary, “Rivers of living water, denoting both plenty and constancy. The comfort flows in both plentifully and constantly as a river strong as a stream to bear down the oppositions of doubts and fears. There is a fulness in Christ of grace for grace.”

Jesus explained further about this living water in John 14:16-17:

“And I will ask the Father, and He will give you another Comforter (Counselor, Helper, Intercessor, Advocate, Strengthener, and Standby), that He may remain with you forever– The Spirit of Truth, Whom the world cannot receive (welcome, take to its heart), because it does not see Him or know and recognize Him. But you know and recognize Him, for He lives with you [constantly] and will be in you.”

A constant and plentiful flow of comfort. Counselor. Helper. Strengthener. The Spirit or Truth. Bearing down on our doubts and fears. Filling us with his grace when we believe.
